Right to Choose: the true wait at each door

Under Right to Choose, a family in England can pick an NHS-funded provider for an ADHD or autism assessment instead of waiting for the local trust. The published waits are marketing figures; where an integrated care board caps funded assessments through an Indicative Activity Plan, the wait that matters is the queue length divided by the annual quota. These pages compute that effective wait per ICB from FOI'd figures, label everything else unverified, and set out the downstream costs of each door — including the private-diagnosis shared-care trap.

Integrated care boards covered

Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland first; further ICBs are added as their FOI responses come back (statutory response time: 20 working days). Everything here is free to use, with no account and no sign-up.
